Wargaming Opens a New Office in Factoria BP
Wargaming, a company engaged in the development of video games, will open a new office in Moscow. The company has leased 2,415 sq. m in Factoria Business Park and scheduled the relocation for November 2021. JLL served as the transaction adviser.
Wargaming is the developer of the following video games: World of Tanks, World of Warships, World of Warplanes, World of Warships: Legends, Master of Orion, World of Tanks Blitz, World of Tanks Generals, World of Warships Blitz, etc.
The new office on the Vyatskaya Street will accommodate the Wargaming RED studio that will engage in the development of a new cross-platform project, as well as in the creation and support of other video games both under the existing franchises and under the company’s new products. Wargaming’s new studio will employ 200–250 persons in total. The lease agreement has been signed for 5 years.
Wargaming has chosen Factoria Business Park due to a good location, well-developed infrastructure and ease of travel. The loft-style office complex is located in an established business district within a walking distance from the Savyolovskaya metro station. A major transport junction located nearby ensures access to the Third Ring Road, Leningradsky Avenue, and Novoslobodskaya Street. Factoria’s abundant infrastructure provides the tenant with the best possible comfort.
Gaukhar Aldiyarova, Operations Director, Wargaming RED studio: “Our unit based in St. Petersburg is currently developing a new video game, which makes it necessary for the team to engage a large number of developers in various fields. To develop and support the project, we are looking for talent all across the country and came to a conclusion that some of the new employees may prefer relocating to Moscow to working in the Northern Capital. We were looking for an office with a good location, ease of travel, and developed infrastructure. In addition, we value the original interior design and the possibility of arranging both private offices and open space for employees.”
Mikhail Shmonov, Director of Lease Relations Department, Prime Property Management: “We are happy to welcome one of the world’s largest publishers and developers of online games here in Factoria. The property we offered for Wargaming’s new studio meets all of the company’s significant requirements for the design of a unique workspace. Factoria offers diverse properties to the market to suit any taste – lofts, stylish industrial space and classic offices with high ceilings, which is the reason why different constructions of the Business Park have captured the tenants specialising in most diverse business areas under their roof. Factoria Business Park is quite popular with hi-tech companies similar to Wargaming who employ a large number of IT developers and designers, who can still expect us to offer unique properties to them, and who put particular value upon well-developed infrastructure in order not to get distracted and interrupt the creative process.”
Marina Medvedeva, Director, Office Owners Management Department, JLL: “We are very happy to have a new tenant from the IT sector in Factoria BP, which attests to a consistently high demand for quality business parks with a developed infrastructure and ease of travel. Wargaming was looking for finished offices with a functional floor plan, professional landlord, and comfortable atmosphere for its employees. Factoria BP proved to be a perfect match.”
